EuCheMS (European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences) is a non-profit-making organisation, founded in 1970. Its aim is to promote co-operation in Europe between non-profit-making scientific and technical societies in the field of chemistry and molecular sciences.
The organisation can draw upon significant resources, having 46 member societies which in total represent some 150,000 individual chemists in academia, industry and government in over 35 countries across Europe.
EuCheMS is an Associated Organisation of IUPAC.
EuCheMS takes over the role and responsibilities of the Federation of European Chemical Societies and Professional Institutions.
EuCheMS provides a powerful single voice for chemists and the chemical sciences in Europe through its activities and development of policy.

EuCheMS Congresses provide an opportunity for EuCheMS member societies and Divisions to work with invited European organisations to mount a European showcase event for chemical sciences.
27 - 31 August 2006, Budapest, Hungary.
The 1st Congress welcomed 2348 participants from 57 countries.
16 - 20 September 2008, Torino, Italy, 'Chemistry, The Global Science'.
The Aims of the conference were to promote chemistry and chemical sciences at the cutting edge; to foster collaboration among scientists in research, industry, education in support of chemistry in the European Research Area and to enhance the image of chemistry.
